The Teacher Scholarship Program provides need-based awards to residents of Kentucky who are pursuing a teacher certification or additional certification as a certified teacher. Students who attend a participating college or university in Kentucky are eligible to apply. Recipients agree to teach one semester at a Kentucky public or certified non-public school for each semester the scholarship is received.

  • Seeking an initial teacher certification **or**
  • Planning to pursue additional certification for classroom teaching
  • Attending or planning to attend one of the participating colleges or universities in Kentucky

  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Agree to teach one semester at a Kentucky public or certified nonpublic school for each semester the scholarship is received
  • Meet school’s satisfactory academic progress requirements
