Texas Society of Mayflower Descendants Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in Texas who are members or descendants of members of the Texas Society of Mayflower Descendants (TSOMD) and are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Texas who are junior members of the Mayflower Society or the children or grandchildren of TSOMD members.
  • Applicants must be interested in attending a college, university, or community college in any state.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and a score on the SAT or ACT in the 60th percentile.
  • Selection is based on that essay (30%), community service (15%), awards and honors (10%), GPA (10%), SAT or ACT score (10%), a character reference (10%), an academic recommendation (10%), and proper completion of the application (5%).
