The Ferriss Horticulture Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are seeking a bachelor's degree. Students who are studying horticulture or plant science and have a special interest in floriculture or ornamental crops are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Minimum 2.60 GPA

Resident of the U.S. or Canada

College junior or senior

Seeking a bachelor's degree

Studying horticulture or plant sciences

Attending a university in the U.S. or Canada

Planning to have a career in floriculture and herbaceous ornamental plants

U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated interest in commercial greenhouse production of herbaceous ornamental or floriculture crops (i.e., nonedible, non-medicinal crops), research related to the production, physiology, or breeding of herbaceous ornamental and floriculture crops, and/or the sales and marketing of herbaceous ornamental and floriculture crops.
