The Sarah and George William Grier, Jr. Scholarship program recognizes graduating seniors of Central and Howard High School in Georgia. This scholarship is available to students pursuing a degree in education with the desire for a career as a primary or secondary school educator. Students who exhibit the potential to succeed, personal character, academic success, and school pride are welcome to apply. Those not receiving other scholarships or financial aid other than HOPE receive special consideration.

Requirements

Minimum 3.0 GPA

Graduating senior of Central or Howard high schools in Macon, Georgia

Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree in education

Desire for a career as a primary or secondary school educator

Participate in extracurricular activities

Demonstrate financial need

Exhibit the potential to succeed, personal character, academic success, and school pride Preference is given to students not receiving other scholarships or financial aid other than HOPE.
