Theodora Y. Justice Memorial State Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of HOSA: Future Health Professionals in Texas who are enrolled or planning to enroll at a college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors and college undergraduates who have at least 1 year of studies remaining.
  • Applicants must be a member of HOSA in Texas.
  • Eligible fields include allied health, audiology, dental hygiene, dentistry, medical science, nuclear medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant, public health, recreational therapy, speechlanguage pathology, and speech therapy.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
  • To apply, they must join STEM Premier and complete its profile, which serves as the application for these scholarships.
  • As part of their application, they must submit a 1page essay describing 2 ways in which they have enhanced and promoted the HOSA mission within their local chapter.
  • Selection is based on that essay (26 points), GPA (6 points), HOSA chapter involvement (8 points), promotion of HOSA (6 points), participation in National Service Project (2 points), participation in the HOSA conference (10 points), HOSA recognition and awards (5 points), HOSA healthrelated community involvement (15 points), references (9 points), completeness of application (5 points), and a letter of acceptance (5 points).
