Tzu Chi USA Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to high school seniors who demonstrate awareness of the philosophy of Buddhist Tzu Chi.

Requirements
  • This program is open to graduating high school seniors who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and plan to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must submit 1) documentation of financial need; 2) an autobiography of 2 to 5 pages that includes how they intend to use this scholarship, their personal and academic achievements, their academic and career plans, and their past and current involvement towards making a difference in their community; and 3) a 2page essay about Tzu Chi, based on information they have acquired from various sources, and what they have learned that inspires them and why.
  • In the selection process, emphasis is placed on financial need.
  • A home visit or telephone interview may be required.
