Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities.
  • Applicants must submit an essay that covers 16 assigned topics, including how they expect to promote vegetarianism in college and beyond, their future goals, why they should receive this scholarship, how they became vegetarian and why they are vegetarian, how they define vegetarianism, and why vegetarianism is important to them.
  • The award is presented to applicants who have "shown compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle." Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
