The William Giacomo "Firefighter" Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students who are residents of Fayette County, West Virginia, attending a college or university in West Virginia, or pursuing a fire safety degree in fire safety at a school in any state. Special consideration is given to active firefighters or a spouse, child, or grandchild of an active firefighter with the Fayette County Firefighters Association. If none are available, consideration will go to a local fire department in West Virginia.
