A. Dale Lacky Memorial and Clarke Coover Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in the Sac-Joaquin Section of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) who have participated in athletics and plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high school within the Sac-Joaquin Section of the CIF and planning to enroll at a college or university in any state.

Females and males are considered separately.

Applicants must have participated in a varsity sport for at least 2 years and be able to demonstrate a record of good citizenship.

They must have an unweighted GPA of 3.7 or higher and scores of at least 1000 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT. Along with their application, they must submit an essay on the importance of sportsmanship in high school athletics.

Selection is based on that essay, athletics, and community service.

Each high school within the Section may nominate 1 female and 1 male for these scholarships.
