Requirements

This program is open to JACL members who are enrolled or planning to enroll at a college, university, trade school, or business college.

Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students who are able to demonstrate that, without this aid, they will have to delay or terminate their education.

They must submit information on their involvement in JACL and a 2page essay on a topic that changes annually but relates to Japanese Americans.

Selection is based on that essay, financial need, academic history, JACL involvement, school activities, work history, scholastic honors, and community involvement.
