AFCEA DC STEM Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area who are interested in majoring in fields of STEM in college.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
  • Applicants may be either high school seniors or secondyear students at a community college, but they must have been accepted as full-time students at an accredited 4-year college or university in the United States.
  • They must be planning to major in chemistry, computer science, cyber security, electronics, engineering (aerospace, chemical, computer, electrical, or systems), mathematics, management information systems, or physics.
  • Applications are especially encouraged from students whose family includes current military members, veterans, and members of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).
  • Selection is based on academic achievement, school activities, letters of recommendation, and financial need.
