The AIA Central Valley/John Ellis Architectural Scholarship is open to high school seniors, undergraduates, graduate students, and adult re-entry students who are seeking a degree in architecture. Students enrolled or entering schools in designated counties in the central valley of California are encouraged to apply. Students attending a community college receive special consideration.

Attended or attending a school in Alpine, Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Sutter, Tehama, Yolo, or Yuba counties, California

Seeking an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree in architecture as a fulltime student Preference is given to students attending a community college.
