Air Force ROTC High School Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors or graduates who are interested in joining Air Force ROTC in college and are willing to serve as Air Force officers following the completion of their bachelor's degree.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors who are U.S. citizens at least 17 years of age and have been accepted at a college or university with an Air Force ROTC unit on campus or a college with a cross-enrollment agreement with such a college.
  • Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and an ACT composite score of 26 or higher or an SAT score of 1240 or higher.
  • They must agree to serve for at least 4 years as activeduty Air Force officers following graduation from college.
  • Recently, first priority was given to students planning to major in the science and technical fields of architecture, chemistry, computer science, engineering (aeronautical, aerospace, architectural, astronautical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, mechanical, or nuclear), mathematics, meteorology and atmospheric sciences, nuclear physics, operations research, or physic.
  • Second priority was given to students planning to major in foreign languages (Arabic, Baluchi, Chinese (Amoy, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Wu), Indonesian, Japanese, Javanese, Korean, PashtoAfghan, Persian-Afghan, Persian-Iranian, Punjabi, Russian, Somali, Turkish, or Turkmen).
  • Students could major in any other field, although most scholarships were offered for technical or language programs.
  • While scholarship recipients can major in any subject, they must enroll in 4 years of aerospace studies courses at 1 of the 1,100 colleges and universities that have an Air Force ROTC unit on campus or that have crossenrollment agreements with the institutions that have an Air Force ROTC unit on campus. Recipients must attend a 4-week summer training camp at an Air Force base, usually between their sophomore and junior years. Most cadets incur a 4-year active-duty commitment.
