About the Scholarship

The AISES Chevron Scholarship program is for students who are American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, First Nation, and other indigenous peoples of North America and are seeking a STEM degree related to the energy field. Students who are seeking a bachelor's or graduate degree and who are currently members of AISES are welcome to apply. Those who have completed an internship related to their field of study and who demonstrate leadership through involvement in AISES recent special consideration.

Requirements
  • American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) member
  • American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, First Nation, or other indigenous peoples of North America
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Studying for a degree in the following STEM areas: computer science, earth sciences, engineering (chemical, civil, electrical, geological, geophysical, mechanical or petroleum), health environment and safety, or naval architecture
  • Seeking a bachelor's or graduate degree as a fulltime student
  • Demonstrate knowledge and interest in Chevron and the energy industry
  • Received a minimum of 1 noteworthy achievement/recognition (i.e. Dean’s List, scholarship, honor/award) Preference is given to those who have completed an internship related to their field of study and who demonstrate leadership through involvement in AISES.
