The AITP Omaha Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors and college students who either reside in or will be studying in designated states and who plan to major in fields related to information technology.

Requirements
  • This program is open to 1) students who are enrolled or planning to enroll at a 4-year college or university, community college, or technical school in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, or South Dakota and major in information technology or a related field; and 2) members of the Omaha or Lincoln chapters of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), their spouses, and their children who are interested in attending a college or university in any state and majoring in computer science, information systems, information technology, or a related field.
  • Applicants must include an essay of 250 to 500 words on a topic that changes annually but relates to the profession of information technology.
  • Selection is based on the essay, 2 letters of recommendation, academic achievement, job experience, participation in local community organizations, participation in high school and/or college extracurricular activities, and leadership and other awards received.
  • Financial need is not considered.
