Requirements

This program is open to full-time undergraduates and graduate students who are studying child development or early childhood education at a college or university in Louisiana and have a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Applicants must have been members of Louisiana Early Childhood Association (LAECA) and the Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA) or their respective student affiliate (SLAECA) for at least 6 months.

Selection is based on that statement (20%), contributions to LAECA and other service activities related to children and families (20%), knowledge of contemporary issues related to early childhood (20%), overall GPA (25%), and 2 letters of recommendation (15%).
