American Planning Association California Chapter Central Coast Section Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students in planning programs at designated California universities in the Central Coast area.

Requirements

This program is open to students entering their final year for an undergraduate or master's degree in the accredited planning program at California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo or in planning-related programs at the University of California at Santa Barbara or California State University Channel Islands.

Applicants must submit 1) a 500word personal statement explaining why planning is important to them, their potential contribution to the profession of planning in California, and how this scholarship would help them to complete their degree; and 2) a 500-word essay on what they consider to be 1 of the greatest planning challenges in California today.

Selection is based on academic performance, commitment to serve the planning profession in California, and financial need.
