The ANSWER Scholarship supports nontraditional female students who are pursuing a postsecondary education. Students who are over 25 years old and are raising school-age children are encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • Nontraditional student
  • Female parent of a schoolaged child(ren)
  • Resident of one of the following counties: Cabarrus, Catawba, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly, or Union in North Carolina or Lancaster or York in South Carolina
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree in any field at a school in those counties **or**
  • Seeking an associate degree in nursing at a school in those counties **or**
  • Seeking an associate degree in cardiovascular technology, dental assisting or hygiene, medical laboratory technology, nursing, occupational therapy assistant, physical therapy assistant, respiratory therapy, or other healthrelated fields as a full-time student at Central Piedmont Community College
  • Fulltime student
  • U.S. citizen
  • Aged 25 or older
