AOPA Student Pilot Scholarship provides funding to members of Women in Aviation International (WAI) who are interested in working on an additional license or certificate.

Requirements

This program is open to women who are WAI members and have obtained a student pilot certificate.

Applicants must be interested in earning a recreational, sport pilot, or private pilot certificate.

Preference is given to fulltime students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and are enrolled in high school, an accredited college or university, or an accredited flight school.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Selection is based on merit, including previous accomplishments, ability to set and achieve goals, involvement in general aviation, and commitment to completing flight training.
