The Appalachian Scholarship is available to high school graduates from the Appalachian coalfields. Students who plan to enroll in an engineering program at a technical college or university such as California Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, Colorado School of Mines, Georgia Institute of Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Texas A&M University, Virginia Tech, or similar institutions are welcome to apply.
