The AQHA Region 1 Quarter Horse Youth Scholarship provides financial assistance to the American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) or the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) member residents of region one which includes Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Graduating high school seniors demonstrating financial need and seeking a professional certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree full-time are welcome to apply. Students must have participated in their regions' AQHA or AQHYA for at least one year.

Requirements
  • Member of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) OR,
  • American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA)
  • Minimum 2.50 GPA
  • Resident of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, U.S., or CA, BC
  • High school senior or undergraduate student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Fulltime student
  • Participation in equestrian sports or leadership
  • Demonstrate financial need Current or past recipients of American Quarter Horse Foundation (AQHF) scholarships are not eligible to apply.
