Arizona SWANA Chapter Scholarship provides financial assistance to members and families of members of the Arizona Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) who are interested in studying a field related to solid waste management at a college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to students working on an associate or bachelor's degree as preparation for a career in the solid waste industry.
  • Applicants must be 1) high school seniors or graduate certified candidates who have been accepted at a 2 or 4-year college or university in any state and are the child or grandchild of an Arizona SWANA member; 2) current full-time juniors or seniors working on a degree in environmental science, engineering, or other major related to solid waste management at a college or university in any state; or 3) Arizona SWANA chapter members engaged in educational opportunities (including an undergraduate degree), training, or professional development in the solid waste or an environment-related field.
  • Financial need is also considered in the selection process.
