Requirements

This program is open to the descendants of veterans in Arkansas who served during eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion.

Both the student and the parent must be residents of Arkansas.

Their total family income must be less than $75,000.

The student must be a high school senior planning to attend college in any state.

Selection is based on that essay (25%), character and leadership (25%), academic achievement (25%), and financial need (25%).
