Requirements

This competition is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students at colleges and universities in the United States.

Applicants must submit essays of 750 to 1,000 words on mesothelioma, a form of cancer caused by asbestos.

The essay should help raise awareness about the disease, research, promising clinical trials, survivors, and caregivers.

Selection is based on style, grammar, level of research, and quality of content.

Authors of finalist essays are contacted and asked to have their university forward transcripts to the sponsoring organization.
