The Asian American Leaders in Mental Health Scholarship recognizes Asian American and Pacific Islander students who will be pursuing a career in clinical mental health practice. Students who exhibit a passion for counseling, the potential for leadership, academic achievement, and service to the community and social justice are welcome to apply. Special consideration is given to first-generation students currently enrolled in a counseling psychology master’s degree program with a pathway to clinical licensure.

Pursuing a career in clinical mental health practice

Asian, Pacific Islander, or Asian Multiracial ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census

Seeking an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree

Participate in academic activities or community service

Committed to counseling communities of color and utilizing a social justice lens Preference is given to firstgeneration students currently enrolled in a counseling psychology master’s degree program with a pathway to clinical licensure.
