The Asian American Leaders in Mental Health Scholarship recognizes Asian American and Pacific Islander students who will be pursuing a career in clinical mental health practice. Students who exhibit a passion for counseling, the potential for leadership, academic achievement, and service to the community and social justice are welcome to apply. Special consideration is given to first-generation students currently enrolled in a counseling psychology master’s degree program with a pathway to clinical licensure.

Requirements
  • Pursuing a career in clinical mental health practice
  • Asian, Pacific Islander, or Asian Multiracial ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census
  • Seeking an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree
  • Participate in academic activities or community service
  • Committed to counseling communities of color and utilizing a social justice lens Preference is given to firstgeneration students currently enrolled in a counseling psychology master’s degree program with a pathway to clinical licensure.
