Baltimore Chapter ASHRAE College Scholarship provides financial assistance to students in the Baltimore area working on a bachelor's degree in a field of interest to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

Requirements
  • This program is open to students working on a bachelor's degree at colleges and universities in the Baltimore area.
  • Applicants must submit a 500word essay on their career goals and how those goals relate to the field of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning.
  • Selection is based on the following criteria, in order of importance: 1) work in an ASHRAE field of training; 2) enrollment in an accredited course at a recognized college (or program preapproved by ASHRAE board); 3) matriculation for a degree in an ASHRAE-related engineering field; 4) residence in, or moving to, the Baltimore ASHRAE chapter area; 5) work in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) field; 6) child of a Baltimore chapter member, living or deceased; 7) high scholastic standing or average from previous year; 8) financial need; and 9) veteran with an honorable discharge or member of U.S. armed services.
