The Big Jim Academic Achievement Scholarship recognizes and rewards, with college scholarships, high school seniors who are members of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe (males and females are considered separately) and demonstrate academic excellence.

Requirements

This program is open to members of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe who are graduating from high school.

Applicants must submit a copy of their tribal enrollment card, transcripts, a letter of recommendation from an educator, a resume of academic accomplishments and activities, and a 500word essay on how their academic accomplishments will influence their future.

Males and females are considered separately.
