Blue Ridge Foothills District Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Water Environment Association of South Carolina (WEASC) and their immediate families in its Blue Ridge Foothills District who are working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in a field of STEM with an environmental emphasis at a college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to WEASC members and their immediate families who live or work within the Blue Ridge Foothills District (Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, or Spartanburg counties).

Applicants must be enrolled full or part time at a college, university, or technical school in any state and working on an associate, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in a field of STEM related to the environment.

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Selection is based on academics (30%), activities (25%), relation of studies to the water environment (30%), and professional memberships (15%).

A bonus of 15% may be awarded to applicants with an active record of community involvement.
