CALAHE Competitive Scholarship provides financial assistance to Latino residents of Connecticut who are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to graduating high school seniors, GED recipients, and current college students who have been residents of Connecticut during the preceding 12 months.

Applicants must come from a Latino background and have a GPA of 2.75 or higher.

They must be enrolled or planning to enroll fulltime at an accredited institution of higher education in any state.

U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, community service, and an essay on how they feel education is going to impact their ability to pursue their education.
