Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors in California who plan to attend a branch of the University of California, a branch of the California State University system, or a community college in the state.

Applicants must have a parent or legal guardian who was employed as a vineyard worker by a winegrape grower during either or both of the 2 preceding seasons.

Applications are available in both English and Spanish.

Selection is based on that essay, demonstrated academic ability, community involvement and leadership, work history, determination to succeed, and financial need.

Recipients must enroll in 12 college units each semester while receiving scholarship money.
