This program is open to undergraduate students at 2- and 4-year colleges and universities in California and Nevada.

Applicants must be enrolled in a program for water/wastewater treatment plant operator, field/distribution system operator, chemistry, laboratory technology, biology/ecology, environmental or civil engineering, mechanical/electrical/plumbing trades, or related fields.

Selection is based on the quality and completeness of the application, qualifications of the applicant, content of assigned essays, and recommendations.
