The Catalino Tapia Scholarship provides financial assistance to underserved and underrepresented residents of the San Francisco Bay area who are interested in attending college in any state. Students enrolling in a field of STEM receive special consideration.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Resident of Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo, or Santa Clara counties in California.
  • Graduating high school senior, GED recipient, community college student transferring to a 4year university, AB540 recipient, undocumented, or student currently enrolled at a college or university on a full- or part-time basis.
  • Firstgeneration student.
  • Member of a lowincome, underserved, or underrepresented group.
  • Completed at least 10 hours of volunteer service for the foundation.
  • Demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to students enrolling in a field of STEM.
