Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors and students already working on an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree at an accredited college or university in Kansas.

Applicants must be studying manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, industrial technology, or engineering technology.

They must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Preference is given in the following order: 1) children, grandchildren, and relatives of current members of Wichita Chapter 52 of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME); 2) residents of Kansas; and 3) residents of other states planning to attend a college or university in Kansas.

Financial need is not considered in the selection process.

U.S. citizenship, permanent resident status, or student visa is required.
