Requirements

This program is open to entering freshmen and continuing undergraduates at accredited colleges and universities in New Mexico.

Applicants must be working on or planning to work on a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Preference is given in the following order: first, children and grandchildren of current members of Albuquerque Chapter 93 of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME); second, SME student members at New Mexico universities; third, applicants who reside within New Mexico; and fourth, students planning to attend an engineering college or university in New Mexico.

Financial need is not considered in the selection process.

U.S. citizenship, permanent resident status, or student visa is required.
