Requirements
  • This program is open to unmarried children (including stepchildren and legally adopted children) of enlisted active-duty, retired, or veteran members of the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard, or Air Force Reserves.
  • Applicants must be high school students or fulltime college undergraduate students who are attending or planning to attend an accredited academic institution.
  • They must have an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher and must be age 23 years or younger.
  • High school seniors must also submit a transcript of all high school grades and a record of their SAT or ACT scores.
  • Selection is based on academic record, character, leadership skills, writing ability, versatility, and potential for success.
  • A unique aspect of these scholarships is that applicants may supply additional information regarding circumstances that entitle them to special consideration; examples of such circumstances include student disabilities, financial hardships, parent disabled and unable to work, parent missing in action/killed in action/prisoner of war, or other unusual extenuating circumstances.
