Requirements

This program is open to 1) undergraduate and graduate students at maritime academies or at colleges and universities with maritime-related degree programs; 2) high school students in maritime-related programs; 3) professionals who are continuing their education while working in the maritime industry; and 4) students in their final year of high school or college.

All applicants must be preparing for a career in the maritime industry.

High school students write about what inspires them about the maritime industry and why they want to study it.

College students must present their ideas on how the maritime industry will address change in the next 5 to 10 years and how they would change the industry.

Selection is based on the essay, academic achievement, and interest in a career in the industry.
