Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Bexar County, Texas whose parent, stepparent, or grandparent served on active duty in any of the uniformed services represented by the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA).
  • Applicants must be planning to attend a college or university in any state.
  • They must submit their application to the Bexar County Scholarship Clearing House, which reviews all applications and selects 5 finalists.
  • Selection is based on academic record (GPA), SAT/ACT scores, citizenship, community involvement, and participation in extracurricular activities.
  • A committee of the Alamo MOAA Chapter interviews the finalists and selects the winner.
