Connecticut Sophomore Accounting Scholarship provides financial assistance to student members of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) who are entering their sophomore year.

Requirements
  • This program is open to student CTCPA members who are currently enrolled as full-time freshmen and planning to enter their sophomore year.
  • Applicants must be residents of Connecticut and/or attending an accredited 4year college or university in that state.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be planning to major in accounting, obtain a bachelor's degree in accounting, and pursue C.P.A. licensure.
  • Selection is based on academic ability, leadership and service, a resume, an essay on an assigned topic, overall presentation of self, and demonstrating a commitment to the accounting profession.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
