CSM Virgil R. Williams Scholarship provides financial assistance to National Guard members and their dependents who are members of the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) and entering or continuing in college.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors and current college students who are enrolled or planning to enroll as full-time undergraduate students.
  • They must be 1) National Guard members who belong to EANGUS; 2) unmarried sons and daughters of EANGUS members; 3) spouses of EANGUS members or 4) unmarried spouses and unmarried dependent children of deceased EANGUS members who were in good standing at the time of their death.
  • Honorary, associate, or corporate membership alone does not qualify.
  • Applicants must submit a copy of their school transcript, 3 letters of recommendation, a letter of academic reference (from their principal, dean, or counselor), a photocopy of the qualifying state and/or national membership card (parent's, spouse's or applicant's), and a personal letter with specific facts as to their desire to continue their education and why financial assistance is necessary.
  • Application packets must be submitted to the state EANGUS association; acceptable packets are then sent to the national offices for judging.
  • Selection is based on academic achievement, character, leadership, and financial need.
