Requirements

This program is open to the dependent children of members of the U.S. Coast Guard (active duty, retired, or Reserve).

Applicants must be high school seniors or currentlyenrolled full-time college students and have at least a 2.0 GPA. Along with their application, they must submit transcripts, a letter of acceptance, an essay on their reasons for attending or desiring to attend an accredited institution of higher learning, support documentation if applicable, and a photograph (optional).

Their parents' financial status is not considered in the selection process.
