Requirements

This program is open to retired or honorably discharged veterans of the armed forces (Army, Marine Corps, Navy, or Air Force), the National Guard (Army or Air), the U.S. Coast Guard, or the U.S. Merchant Marine.

Preference is given to veterans who are medically disabled.

Applicants must intend to work on an undergraduate or graduate degree directed toward a career in applied geophysics or a closelyrelated field (e.g., earth or environmental sciences, geology, geoscience, or physics).

Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
