Requirements

This competition is open to legal residents of the United States and its territories who are currently enrolled at an accredited college, university, or trade school.

Applicants must submit an essay, up to 1,500 words in length, on a topic that changes annually but relates to health.

Recently, students were asked to write on climate change and the importance of sustainable practices.

Selection is based on writing ability (25%), creativity (25%), originality (25%), and overall excellence (25%).
