Dr. Amanda Perez Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors and college freshmen who are pre-medical student members of the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) in its western region and planning to attend medical school.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors and college freshmen who are LMSA members, residents of, or attending college in its western region (Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming), and enrolled or planning to enroll in a pre-medical program at a 4-year college or university.
  • Applicants should be able to demonstrate a desire to advance the state of health care and education in Latino communities through extracurricular activities and/or membership in civic organizations.
  • They must be committed to preparing for a professional career in medicine and dedicated to serving the Latino and underserved communities.
  • Immigration and citizenship status are not considered.
