Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors, college students, and current members of the industry who are 1) attending or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university in northern California; or 2) residing in northern California.

Applicants must be majoring or planning to major in turf grass, ornamental horticulture, or a related degree or certificate program.

They must be interested in preparing for a career as a golf course superintendent or a closelyrelated position in the golf industry.

Letters of recommendation must be submitted from a golf course superintendent and a facility adviser or former employer.

Selection is based on scholastic ability, interest in community or related activities, and financial need.
