The Dr. Merritt C. Olson Scholarship program recognizes graduating seniors from West High School in Anchorage, Alaska who participate in community service and extracurricular activities. Students who demonstrate a motivation to succeed, leadership qualities, and financial need are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to applicants who are planning to pursue a career as a math, history, or English teacher or a guidance counselor.

Graduating senior from West High School in Anchorage, Alaska

Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree as a fulltime student

Participate in community service and extracurricular activities

Exhibit motivation to succeed and leadership qualities

Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to applicants who are planning to pursue a career in math, history, or English teacher or guidance counselor.
