DTASC Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who have participated in festivals of the Drama Teachers Association of Southern California (DTASC) and plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to graduating high school seniors who have participated in at least 2 DTASC festivals in the past 2 years.

Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 overall and 3.5 or higher in theater classes.

They must participate in auditions that involve 2 contrasting monologues for acting (up to 5 minutes) or a presentation (5 to 7 minutes) of a portfolio of technical work in costume, set design, lighting, or graphics.

Selection is based on those essays, the auditions, a letter of recommendation from a theater teacher, and an interview regarding their future plans.
