Requirements

This program is open to radio amateurs who are interested in working full-time on a bachelor's degree in a branch of engineering or the physical sciences.

There are no restrictions on license class or residential area.

Applicants must submit essays on their motivation to become a ham and interests in the hobby; ham radio activities and accomplishments; ham radio contacts and operating modes; interests and hobbies outside of ham radio; ham radio club memberships; ham radio club participation (offices held, appointed positions); and any special issues that affect their application and that they would like the sponsor to take into consideration.
