E. Wayne Cooley Scholarship provides financial assistance to female high school seniors in Iowa who have participated in athletics and plan to attend college in the state.

Requirements

This program is open to women graduating from high schools in Iowa who have a GPA of 3.75 or higher and an ACT score of 25 or higher.

Applicants must have earned a varsity letter in at least 2 different sports and have participated in at least 2 sports each year of high school.

They must be planning to attend a college or university in Iowa.

Each high school in the state may nominate 1 student.

Selection is based on academic achievements, athletic accomplishments, nonsports extracurricular activities, and community involvement.
