Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association Scholarship provides financial assistance to students working on an entry-level bachelor's or master's degree in athletic training at an institution in the states served by the Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association (EATA).

Requirements

This program is open to full-time athletic training students who are 1) entering the junior or senior year of an entry-level bachelor's degree program; or 2) entering at least the second year of an entry-level master's degree program.

Applicants must be members of District 1 or District 2 of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and attending college in the states comprising those Districts.

They must have participated in a college or university athletic training program and be nominated by a Certified Athletic Trainer supervisor at their institution; each supervisor may only nominate 1 student, and each institution may forward the nominations of only 2 students.

Candidates must be preparing for a career in the profession of athletic training.

Selection is based on that essay, GPA, athletic training clinical experiences, service, extracurricular activities, leadership, awards, and recommendations.
