Resident of Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties in California. - Currently enrolled as a freshman, sophomore, or junior at an HBCU.

Able to demonstrate knowledge of the impact of African American influence on today's society, particularly on their lives, and their understanding of the global impact of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority on today's United States.

Participate in community service.

Demonstrate financial need.
